Curating

Curating

There are many times great ideas can be used to promote your cultural ideals, city or state that will springboard economic development? The message, the mission and vision of an organization is often told in the form of a story, which requires a knowledgeable curator to bring the story together, visually.  Fanning Partnership understands the importance of the story, and has incredible experience partnering with organizations such as the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Lockheed Martin, Ball Aerospace, The Center for Fine Art Photography, Ellie Caulkins Opera House, Opera Colorado, Colorado Ballet, the American Institute of Architects, University of Colorado, University of Denver, the state of Colorado and the city of Denver to name just a few.

Examples of story-telling:
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) In 2007, Fanning Partnership developed an exhibit in partnership with the AIA to be displayed at Denver International Airport during the Democratic National Convention 2008. The Purpose: To highlight the 150th anniversary of both the AIA and the city of Denver.   What better way to highlight Denver but through its architecture.  The Impact: The first and last impression of a city is at its airport; the additional traffic during the DNC will have an historical look at the development of Denver over the past 150 years.

The Colorado Space Coalition, leaders in aerospace development and technology, worked with Fanning Partnership to champion the economic importance of this industry in Colorado. The Purpose: To highlight the Colorado aerospace industry's contributions as the second largest in the nation to the advancements in research and development and economic impact.  The Impact: Featured on front-page Business section of the Denver Post, this story illustrated the economic and cultural importance of the sciences in the State of Colorado. Impact: Over 5 million viewers enjoyed this exhibit over a four month period.

Best of Colorado exhibition at the Denver International Airport was designed to coincide with the grand opening of Denver Art Museum's new Frederic C. Hamilton Building by Daniel Libeskind.   Fanning Partnership, along with seven highly regarded arts professionals, highlighted 75 of Colorado's most prominent and influential trend setting and contemporary artists, providing a concentrated taste of artistic excellence. The Purpose:  Assemble a collection of Colorado's most creative visual and literary artists for one location. The Impact: Over 1 million passengers viewed this exhibit over the six month period, with sales in the airport venue generating over $100,000.  All sales directly benefited the artists and their galleries.
